YOU 2.0

June 29th, 2007

The main point of personal development is… eeh… well, to develop our selves. Hopefully for the better.

But how do we develop as human beings? And how can we know that we are going in the right direction?

Everyone, who’s in their right mind, can differ right from wrong. But from time to time we need to evaluate our selves.
If you are uncertain if a new behavior of yours is doing you any good, ask yourself the following two questions:

- What are my intentions?
- How do others react?

It is crucial that you are totally honest when you answer these questions. Let’s say you have a goal to quit bragging. What are your intentions for doing so? Is it because you want others to like you better? Is it because you want to be a better person?

How do people react when you change? If they start to interact with you in a more positive way, that would probably tell you a lot. If they start telling you more about them selves that’s a really good sign. Braggers have a tendency to turn conversations towards them selves, making people less unreserved to open up.

There is, of course, no rules without exeptions. If you hang out with a bunch of negative people, you need to change your environment.
How do strangers react to you? Strangers have no idea of what to expect from you, and therefore their reactions will be more honest.

If you have any experience using computer software, you’ll know that the developers constantly work to make it better. Every once in a while you get reminders that a new version is available for download. If they aren’t entirely sure about the changes they’ve made, they will first release a beta version. If the beta version of the software gets good reviews from the users, they will release it as version 2.0.

You can do the exact same thing. If you are uncertain if a change is for the better, release a beta version of yourself. If it’s well received, stick to it. If the reactions are negative, go back and try something else.

Don’t you think it’s time to release, at least a beta version, of You 2.0?

Review - Ja Kel Daily

June 29th, 2007

The editor of Ja Kel Daily Dot Com personal blog is willing to give you a backlink from his PR5 blog link, if you review his blog. So that’s exactly what I’m doing. One of the most important thing for us bloggers is to get a lot of backlinks :-)

It is an interesting blog with posts in various categories. Here are some examples of the type of categories you will find:

- Cars
- Family
- Make Money Online
- Technology
- The net

Judging by the amount of comments Ja Kel Daily gets, it looks like it is a lot of activity going on there around the clock.

Aaron Potts, the webmaster of Today is that Day has just launched a new community site. I have just signed up myself and it looks very promising so far. It’s a great opportunity to network with people similar interests as yourself.

My guess is that this is going to be huge. If you are seriously interested in personal development you should definitely consider to join.

Be sure to add me as a friend when you get there. My username is Jarleh.

The Master Key System As a part of this blog I will, now and then, link to a free self-growth eBook.

I have an email service I use to send out a free eBook once a week to my subscribers.

But guess what:
From now on I’m going to publish all the eBooks here at this blog as well.

I’ve sent The Master Key System and 12 (so far) other free eBooks out to about 2200 subscribers.
But I figured that everyone should have access to these books without having to subscribe to anything.

All you have to do is to come back to this blog once a week and check the category “Free eBooks”.

Better yet: Get the RSS-feed here.

The first eBook you get access to is The Master Key System by Charles F. Haanel.

You can download the free eBook here:

Comment-function is back

June 27th, 2007

Tha comment-function was down for about two hours today, but I’ve managed to get it up and running again.

I had to reinstall wordpress. Looks like a plugin gave me some unforseen problems.

Here’s the link you should check out for today. I haven’t actually posted a new link on a daily basis yet, but I’ll try to live up to the name of the post from now on :-)

Since february this year I’ve been running a free eBook Service. You can take a look at it at Personal Development Books. The purpose of this service is to send out free eBooks to the subscriber list that I have built. The eBooks centers around Personal Development litterature.

These days I’m considering to transfer the free eBook service to this blog. That would mean that I would deliver the eBooks through blog posts insted of sending out emails.

I would really need your help on this one. Please leave a comment to let me know what you would prefer. If I were to transfer the service to this blog it would mean that everyone can get access to the books, without having to subscribe for anything.
